ABOUT ME
ETHOS
Early Years is my absolute passion and I love the freedom that children are given when exploring and learning during play. I place great emphasis on supporting child-led learning and strive to create a consistently stimulating and inclusive learning environment that ignites children’s natural inner curiosity.
I strongly believe that the adult is the most valuable resource available to a child in any setting and this underpins my hands-on approach to learning.
I strive to create positive partnerships with children and their parents in order to ensure that all children are happy, settled and thriving when in my care. I seek to challenge and extend children’s learning through their chosen play-based activities.
My love for the indoor learning environment is mirrored by my love for the outdoors, and I regard both as equally important when promoting child exploration and development in the Early Years.
More on this can be found on the ‘Outdoor Learning’ area.
THE PLAYROOM & FACILITIES
The aim at Simply Early Years is to consistently provide the highest quality learning environment that mirrors any outstanding Early Years Foundation Stage primary classroom.
I place great emphasis on using child-centred teaching methods to help children to develop on an individual basis, allowing each child to lead their own learning. In doing so, they are able to freely explore – guided by their own natural curiosities and interests.
I have created a warm and secure learning environment that enables children to become happy, confident and self-motivated learners; fostering independence and a love of learning from a young age.
Safeguarding measures have been put in place throughout the facilities to maintain a safe environment for babies and young children.

OUTDOOR LEARNING
When promoting child-led learning in the outdoor environment, I strive to encourage independent play and promote the exploration of nature and natural objects.
Through a planned and purposeful approach, children in my care will be supported in both on-site and off-site experiences to develop and enhance their love for and exploration of the outdoors.
In addition to going on nature walks in all-weathers, we will introduce a mud-kitchen, water tray, sand-pit and vegetable patch.

TESTIMONIALS
"Sophia still talks about Miss Quayle now and remembers the fun they had in class together. I always think you never forget someone who made a difference and Miss Quayle is someone you would want your child to be placed with!"
Note: My surname used to be Quayle
"Emma taught Flynn during the second half of his Reception year. She was really supportive of Flynn, continually supported his creativity and individuality. I was really impressed that she taught Makaton to the class as I did not have a lot of knowledge of this previously, so it was helpful to introduce parents too. Emma was available when I needed a quick chat, whether in person or over the school app. Flynn really enjoyed having her as his teacher."
I had the absolute pleasure of working alongside Emma during her time at Robins Lane in our Early years setting. She is a breath of fresh air, full of energy and inspiration with the children’s interests and learning at heart. Fun, thoughtful, caring, calm and supportive just to name a few (there are many more) words describe Emma perfectly and her knowledge on everything Early years is second to none.
Not only was I lucky enough to work with Emma, Miss Quayle (as she was then) was also Jack's (my son) teacher. He often shares fond memories of being in her class, the trips out, the fun and learning outdoors, being free to explore and get messy (well it is early years) and Miss Quayle was always in the thick of it encouraging and supporting his learning and development. How lucky are the future children and parents that will also share their own special journey in Miss Quayle's care."
COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Our opening times are Monday - Friday 07:45 - 17:15.
We charge a daily rate of £55 per day. This includes lunch, snacks, cow's milk and formula (we may need to charge an additional fee for more specialised formula).
Unfortunately, no we can't offer half days.
We are fortunate enough to have our very own playroom. We also have a covered carport area and two outdoor spaces - a front garden and back garden. Our ethos is heavily underpinned by the Montessori approach, where children lead their own learning.
